CHOOSE THE RIGHT ENTRY DOOR HARDWARE TO LOCK YOUR DOOR

Now that you have chosen your Stunning new Entry Door Pull Handle, it’s very important to choose the right locking door hardware.
The question is, which exterior door hardware do you need to open your Front door, without having an extra lever handle to spoil the effect of your stunning new Door Pull?
How do you keep the look without sacrificing serviceability?
The Roller Lock is the Heart of the Solution.

The roller lock operates without the need to use a lever to open the door. It allows you open and close your door by pulling and pushing your new Pull Handle. The Roller lock works like a ball catch. The difference is the Roller Lock is more effective because it has more holding strength, and it has a built in deadbolt as shown.

Here we see the three stages of the deadbolt.
When the bolt is retracted, the roller at the top holds the door closed.

When the key is turned once the deadbolt extends 3/8 inch (10 mm) into the door locking it closed.

When the key is turned a second time the deadbolt extends to 3/4 inch (20 mm) into the door.
This gives the lock superior strength.

Here we see the effect of the Roller installed onto a set of double doors. Note, the only hardware showing on the outside of the door is the Escutcheon and cylinder. This means the “Look” of your new Door Pulls won’t be affected. The Roller Lock operates differently to a standard latch lock as seen in the image below. The Latch Lock is a one way lock, which means it can be pushed shut, but it won’t open until a lever or knob is turned.

At Handles Accessories we have the locks and door hardware to compliment your choice of Entry Door Handle. The Roller Lock is available to suit Stainless Steel Hardware or Wrought Iron Hardware. Click on the images below to see more.
